Attended Yelm High School…four-year letterwinner for coach Brady Hoover…helped YHS finish second the State as a SOPHOMORE…as a JUNIOR, named South Puget Sound Player of the Year and All-Narrows League Most Valuable Player after going 11-2 with a 1.10 ERA along with a .410 batting average with three home runs and 12 doubles…as a SENIOR, was named the No. 81 overall draft prospect by Baseball America…unanimous 4A Narrows League MVP after allowing just 10 hits while striking out 89 batters in 44.2 innings with a 0.78 ERA…threw three one-hitters and one no-hitter…selected in the 20th round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the Seattle Mariners…played summer ball with Evoshield Canes West and fall ball with the Mariners Scout Team.
