Attended Waunakee High School…four-year letterwinner for coach Spencer Lee…as a senior was named as the first-team catcher on the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association’s all-state team, a unanimous all-district choice, a first-team selection on the Badger North all-conference team and named the player of the year in the Badger North and by Wisconsin Baseball Central…named the Wisconsin State Journal’s All-Area Baseball Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019…also received national recognition, chosen as a third-team pick on the USA Today All-USA Team…unanimous all-conference pick as a junior…two-time team MVP…helped lead Waunakee to a 21-6 record and a WIAA Division I State Championship as a junior, while batting .512 with eight doubles, three triples, eight home runs and a school record 38 driven in…as a senior, led the Warriors to the Bader North Conference crown and another state title while batting .419 and set program records with nine home runs and 31 walks…also knocked in 31 runs and had a 1.052 slugging percentage…in the state title game made a game-changing play with a pick-off in the bottom of the fifth preserving a one-run lead…extended the lead in the sixth with an RBI triple and a run score for a 3-0 lead and eventual win…received an invitation to the Perfect Game All-American Classic Show played at Petco Park in San Diego in July following his senior year…two-starter in football and earned all-conference honors both seasons…helped the Warriors to a state championship in 2018…originally signed with Arkansas out of high school.
