PULLMAN, Wash. (April 6, 2026) – Washington State dropped the opening game of a two-game set with seventh-ranked Oregon State 18-0 at Bailey-Brayton Field Monday evening.

Ollie Obenour singled and was later hit by a pitch.

The Cougars dropped to 14-17 overall while Oregon State improved to 25-6.

KEY MOMENTS OF THE GAME
Cougar starter Brock Blatter opened the game with three strikeouts in the scoreless first and second innings before the OSU bats heated up in the third. The Beavers scored nine runs on six hits in the third inning, added two more in the fourth and three more in the fifth inning.

The Cougars loaded the bases in the fourth but Beavers ended the threat with a strikeout.

Brock Cross made his pitching debut and retired the only batter he faced to end the seventh with a flyout to centerfield.
