SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (February 21, 2026) – Washington State took a 2-0 lead into the sixth inning but Cal Poly rallied for two in the sixth and scored the game-winner on a wild pitch in the tenth inning, handing WSU a 3-2 loss Saturday afternoon.
WSU starter Nick Lewis fired five scoreless innings and scattered five hits and six different Cougar hitters tallied hits.

Gavin Roy led off the inning with a double to centerfield and later scored after Cal Poly threw Ollie Obenour's bunt away. Two batters later, Skjonsby pulled an 0-1 pitch through the right side to score Max Hartman for a 2-0 lead.
