Cougars Post Three Wins on Day Two of Cougar Classic

PULLMAN, Wash. (Sept. 27, 2025) – Washington State Tennis captured all three matches during the second day of play at the 2025 Cougar Classic, played Saturday at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts.

In the mini dual format, teams of two play one doubles and two singles matches, with the team with more victories advances in the team draw. Saturday, the Cougar duo of Martina Puvill and Zali Morris were facing a pair from Idaho. In the doubles match, Puvill and Morris cruised to an 8-3 victory over Valentina Rodas and Miriam Hatem. In singles action, Puvill posted a straight-set win over Naomi Schraeder while Morris cruised to a 6-1, 6-4 win over Hatem.

Play concludes at the Cougar Classic Sunday beginning at 9 a.m.
