Cougar Classic Ends with Pair of WSU Wins

PULLMAN, Wash. (Sept. 28, 2025) – Washington State Tennis captured both matches during the final day of play at the 2025 Cougar Classic, played Sunday at the WSU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
In the mini dual format, teams of two play one doubles and two singles matches, with the team with more victories advances in the team draw. In doubles action, WSU's Martina Puvill and Zali Morris cruised to an 8-3 win over Eastern Washington's Veronika Gayevyk and Anait Arutiunian. Puvill then clinched the team win over the Eagles for WSU with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Gayevyk
The Cougars are next in action Oct. 3-5 when they head to Eugene, Ore. to compete in the Duck Invitational.
