Head Coach Dustin White on the John Burns Invitational
"We're excited to get back into competition again. The off-season is nice to work on a few things, but after a while, you're ready to go play. We've got a couple of great events ahead of us and the guys played some solid golf during qualifying. It goes back to what we did in the fall - control what we can and focus on the shot in front of you until there are no more holes left to play. We do a good job of that and we know what can happen."
The Field
Hawai'i will serve as the host of the 46th Annual John Burns Invitational. Along with Washington State, No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 19 Arizona, No. 20 San Diego State, California, Southern Cal, Utah, BYU, Fresno St., Grand Canyon, Long Beach St., LMU, Nevada, New Mexico, Santa Clara, Sacramento St., St. Mary's, UNC Wilmington, UNLV and UTEP will all be in attendance in Lihue.

Recapping the Fall

WSU posted back-to-back second place finishes in mid-October. The Cougars finished second at the Oregon State Invitational after shooting 11-over; 863, then shot a season-best 16-under; 836 at the Visit Stockton Invitational to finish tied for second.
