Renner, Boenning Complete Play at NCAA Corvallis Regional

CORVALLIS, Ore. (May 20, 2026) – Senior Sam Renner concluded his Cougar career by shooting a 2-under, 69, while freshman Dylan Boenning shot an even-par, 71, as the two concluded their third and final rounds at the 2026 Corvallis Men's Golf Regional, Wednesday at the par-71, 7,349-yard Trysting Tree Golf Club.
Renner, who concluded his final match as a Cougar with his 12th round in the 60's and 16th round of par or better this season, fired his best round of the Regional Wednesday. After a slow start with bogeys on two of the first four holes, the Bend, Ore. native caught fire, recording three-straight birdies to make the turn at 1-under on the day. On the back side, his sandwiched a pair of birdies around a bogey to conclude his round at 2-under for the day and 4-under for the tournament, 51st overall.
Renner ends his time in Pullman holding the program's career scoring average as well as three of the top four spots on the single-season scoring average list.
Boenning was solid throughout his round, posting three birdies, three bogeys and 12 pars on the day. The first freshman to qualify as an individual for an NCAA Regional, Boenning finished his 54-hole event at 2-over, 215, tied for 43rd overall.
Boenning's season scoring average of 71.75 ranks seventh on WSU's all-time list.
