Cougs Post Top-10 Finish in Loaded Field at The Goodwin

STANFORD, Calif. (March 28, 2026) – Senior Sam Renner and sophomore Garrett Harrison each shot 1-over-par, 71, to highlight Washington State's final round of play at The Goodwin, played on the par-70, 6,742-yard Stanford Golf Course Saturday.
As a team, the Cougars finished the round at 8-over, 278, to finish the 54-hole tournament at 6-over, 846, tied for 10th overall. For the second-straight tournament, WSU finished ahead of six teams ranked in the top 50 nationally. Host Stanford erased a one-stroke deficit entering the round after shooting the day's best round at 6-under, 274, to finish at 17-under, 823, four strokes ahead of UCLA and seven strokes ahead of New Mexico.
As he did each of the three days, Renner started his round with a birdie before adding two more along with a double and two bogeys to make the turn at 1-over. His back nine started with seven-straight pars before a birdie and bogey ended his day at 1-over, 71. His three-round score of 5-under, 205, placed him in tied for 8th, his second Top-10 finish in as many tournaments.
Harrison's round include a birdie on each side as he went 36-35 to finish the day a 1-over, 71. Harrison finished his tournament at 4-over, 214, tied for 59th overall.
Sophomore Dylan Burcham ended his tournament with a 3-over, 73, Saturday. After a slow start where he was 4-over after four holes, Burcham finished his front side with a pair of birdies and added two more on the back to end his tournament at even-par, 210, tied for 29th overall.
Freshman Dylan Boenning went 4-over on his front nine before settling the ship to go 1-under on the back side to finish the day at 3-over, 73. Boenning ended his tournament at 8-over, 218, tied for 88th overall.
Redshirt-junior Ben Borgida managed just one birdie on his round and never found his rhythm, finishing the day at 6-over, 76. Borgida ended the tournament at 13-over, 223, tied for 125th.
The Cougars are next in action April 10-12 at the El Macero Classic in Davis, Calif.
