Cougars Conclude Play at Husky Invitational

SEATTLE, Wash. (Oct. 9, 2022) – Washington State Tennis concluded play Sunday at the 2022 Husky Invitational Sunday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
 
The Husky Invitational is played in a hidden dual format, where six singles matches are contested against one school and three doubles matches against another. Sunday, the Cougars only matches were in singles against host Washington.
 
The Huskies captured all six matches on the day, with WSU's Maxine Murphy the only Cougar to force a third set against Washington's Astrid Olsen, falling 6-3, 2-6, 6-1. Murphy had won her previous two singles matches against Oregon and DePaul over the weekend.
 
WSU is next in action Oct. 14-18 at the ITA Northwest Regionals at Stanford, Calif.
