Cougars Head to Stanford for The Goodwin

PULLMAN, Wash. (March 25, 2026) – The Washington State men's golf team returns to competition as it heads to the Bay Area for The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford, March 26-28, played at the Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif. The 24-team field features 13 of the top 50 teams in the country.
The Course and Tournament Format
The Goodwin will be a 54-hole event played at the par-70, 6,742-yard Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif.
Teams will play 18 holes each day. Tee times each day start at 7 a.m. with groups going off the front and back nine.

Along with Washington State and host Stanford (#23), the 24-team field includes Arkansas-Little Rock (#50), Boise State, BYU (#24), California, Cal Poly, Cincinnati, Colorado (#44), Colorado State, Eastern Michigan, Geogia Tech (#18), Grand Canyon, Hawaii-Hilo, Howard, Long Beach State (#31), Nevada, New Mexico (#21), Northwestern (#41), Oregon, Pacific, San Diego State (#33), San Jose State, Santa Clara, SMU, TCU (#36), UC Davis, Utah (#30), UCLA (#35) and Washington (#39).

LAST TIME OUT
In its last outing, Washington State finished seventh at the Desimone Invitational in Daly City, Calif., finishing the 54-hole event at 16-under-par, March 9-10. A huge second round, where the Cougars posted a score of 15-under, elevated WSU up the leaderboard, before finishing seventh. The event featured 10 teams in the 15-team field ranked in the top 50 nationally, with WSU finishing ahead of six of them. Individually, senior Sam Renner posted 11 birdies and no bogeys over his final two rounds to finish tied for third overall at 10-under, 206.
WSU Golf
Head Coach Dustin White is in his 10th season leading his alma mater. The 2025-26 Cougar squad returns five members from last season, including senior Sam Renner, redshirt-junior Ben Borgida, and sophomores Tate Briggeman, Dylan Burcham and Garrett Harrison. Joining the Cougars this season is junior Ben Mulder and freshmen Dylan Boenning and Christian Flick.
