Singles Play Concludes at ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. (Sept. 21, 025) – Seniors Maxine Murphy and Eva Alvarez Sande each captured consolation wins as Washington State tennis concluded singles play at the 2025 IT All-American Championships Pre-Qualifying round Sunday at Cary Tennis Park.
Murphy posted a 6-2, 6-2 win over Illinois' Ariel Madatali while Alvarez Sande completed a 6-3, 6-2 win over Drexell's Lorie Lemongo. Redshirt-junior Yura Nakagawa was unable to play her consolation match after suffering an injury during her match Saturday.
Murphy and Alvarez Sande will begin play in the doubles qualifying draw Monday when they face Florida's Nikola Daubnerova and Xinyi Nong at 12:30 p.m. PT.
