Cougars Post 7-0 Shutout over Idaho State

LOGAN, Utah – Washington State Tennis captured all six singles matches in straight sets en route to a 7-0- victory over Idaho State Thursday morning at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club. With the win, the Cougars improve to 11-1 on the season. The match began with doubles and for the 11th time in 12 matches, the Cougars captured the opening doubles point. Singles followed with freshman Michaela Bayerlova increasing the lead to 2-0 with a straight-set win over Huibre-Mare Botes, her 17th straight singles victory, second all-time at WSU. Senior Barbora Michalkova made it 3-0 before junior Tiffany Mylonas sealed the team win with a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Melissa Coburn at No. 3. The Cougars play their second match of the day with a 4 p.m. PT contest at Utah State.
