Cougar Tennis Announces 2016 Class

PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University Head Tennis Coach Lisa Hart has announced the signing of three student-athletes to National Letters of Intent and/or financial aid agreements, Trang Huynh, Aneta Miksovska and Barbora Michalkova. All three plan to enroll later this month to begin the fall semester.
“We are thrilled to welcome these three exceptional young women to the Cougar family,” said Hart. “Each has worked tirelessly to earn their respective success and to develop their tennis skills to compete at the PAC 12 and national level.”
Huynh, a native of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, arrives at WSU having spent the past two season at Troy University in Alabama. She went 19-10 last season in singles including a 12-4 at the No. 1 position en route to conference Player of the Year honors. She was a bronze medalist in the south East Asian Games in singles, doubles and mixed doubles, and was a member of the Vietnam Federation Cup team.
Miksovska hails from the Czech Republic and has spent the past few years playing on the International Tennis Federation circuit. In 2014 she reached the finals of the under-18 national championship and earlier this year she reached the quarterfinals of the tournament in Trnava, Slovakia.
Michalkova also arrives in Pullman from the Czech Repulic. and was ranked top 100 in Germany for under-21 and she reached a high of 75 in the European Tennis Rankings during her junior career.
