PRIOR TO WSU: Competed in rowing as coxswain at School Without Walls Senior High School and Capital Rowing Club at Washington D.C...three-time rowing varsity letter winner…earned her school’s four-year rowing award as a senior…coxed the men’s junior four to a sixth-place finish at the Mid-Atlantic Junior Championships…won Spirit of Capital award…selected Most Improved Rower/Coxswain as a junior…coxed the novice women’s four to silver at the Mid-Atlantic Junior Championships.

PERSONAL: Born Shannon Elizabeth MacKenzie…January of 1997 at Destin, Florida…father Scott is retired from the U.S. Air Force…mother Suzette…brother Spencer…sister Samantha…enjoys cooking, outdoor activities, snorkeling, and running half marathons…published author for One World Education’s book which helped set the common core curriculum for her middle school…majoring in environmental science.
