WSU CAREER: As a JUNIOR (2016-17), coxed the second varsity eight for the entirety of the year…started off the spring season by leading the second varsity eight to a win over No.18 Gonzaga…helped lead second varsity eight to a win in the ‘B’ Final, placing eighth overall at the Clemson Invite…guided the second varsity eight to a fourth place finish at the Pac-12 Championships, with the team placing in the top-four for the third-straight year…led the second varsity eight to a second place finish in the ‘C’ Final at the NCAA Championships, as her crew placed 14th overall, with the WSU team finishing 14th…named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Second Team…as a SOPHOMORE (2015-16), coxed the varsity four…helped lead varsity four crew to a victory to open the spring season at Gonzaga…guided Cougar varsity four to a second-place finish on day one of the San Diego Crew Classic in heat ‘C’ to qualify for the grand final…ended up placing sixth…also guided the Cougar varsity four against No. 8 Washington…motivated her crew to a second-place finish at the first session of the Clemson Invite behind No. 3 Virginia…placed third in the second session in a close contest with No. 10 Michigan and Oklahoma…finished the final day in heat one and came in fifth against tough competition including No. 4 Ohio State and No. 17 Harvard…guided the varsity four to a convincing 12-second win over Oregon State while Cougars swept all events en-route to a seventh-straight Winchell Cup…her varsity four came in fifth at the Pac-12 Championships, while the team placed in the top four for a second-straight year…helped lead varsity four all the way to the ‘C’ Final at the 2016 NCAA Rowing Championships…placed third in the heat for a 15th-place finish…team finished 12th overall…named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention.
PRIO TO WSU: Attended Bellevue High School at Bellevue, Wash…competed as a coxswain Sammamish Rowing Association for four years.
PERSONAL: Born Eleanor Burg, January of 1996 at Sydney, Australia…father Hahns Burg and mother Kathleen Gill…has younger twin siblings, brother Peter and sister Olivia…enjoys running, hiking and reading…majoring in psychology.
