WSU CAREER: As a JUNIOR (2016-17), rowed with the third varsity eight, helping the Cougars capture the Fawley Cup with a win over No. 18 Gonzaga…rowed bow for the third varsity eight at the Clemson Invite, her crew finished fifth in both heats, beating out No. 10 Virginia and No. 19 Duke…competed with the third varsity eight at the Pac-12 Championships…team finished in the top four for third-straight season…named to the Pac-12 Rowing All-Academic First Team…as a SOPHOMORE (2015-16), rowed with the third varsity eight crew at No. 8 Washington…helped power the Cougar novice eight to a first-session win at the Clemson Invite…her crew finished second in the afternoon session, behind only No. 3 Virginia…took third in the final session...competed with the second varsity four ‘C’ against Oregon State and Cougars swept all events to win a seventh-straight Winchell Cup…rowed with the third varsity eight at the Pac-12 Championships, and finished third…team finished in the top four for a second-straight season…named to Pac-12 All-Academic First Team…as a FRESHMAN (2014-15) rowed with the novice team.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2013 graduate of Eagle High School at Eagle, Idaho…earned two varsity letters as an outside hitter on the school’s volleyball team for head coach Drew Choles…was a captain as a junior, sophomore, and freshman…helped team to a second-place finish at district’s as a senior…made it to the second round of the state tournament…team won its district her freshman and junior years…named to the all-academic team all four years…finished with a 4.0 unweighted GPA, was a National Honor Society member, made honor roll all four years, and was part of the school’s link crew.
 
PERSONAL: Born Miranda Armstrong, August of 1995 at Los Alamos, N.M…father Jeff works for HP as a manager and mother Kathy works for HP as a trainer…sister Kayla is a freshman at Washington State…grandfather, Sherman, played basketball for Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo. and Adam’s State in Alamosa, Colo…enjoys cooking, running, crafts, traveling, learning languages, and puppies…majoring in neuroscience.
