Biography

WSU CAREER: Rowed with the Cougars as a SOPHOMORE (2018-19) in the fall before transferring…teamed up with Ivy Elling Quaintance to win the time trail and sprint at the Burnaby Lake Small Boat Invitational…won the varsity four race at the Portland Classic…as a FRESHMAN (2017-18), opened the season with the varsity eight at the San Diego Crew Classic finishing fifth in their race…helped the Cougar’s ninth-straight win against Oregon State for the Winchell Cup by taking first place with the second varsity eight…at the Clemson Invitational, rowed with the second varsity eight which placed seventh in their heat helping WSU finish sixth overall…rowed with the varsity eight which won its second consecutive regatta against Gonzaga for the Fawley Cup…rowed with the varsity eight at the Pac-12 Championships taking fifth in their race after being seeded No. 15…the varsity eight competed in the second C/D semifinal at the NCAA Championships and took second in their race.

PRIOR TO WSU: Placed sixth in the junior women’s single sculls at the 2017 World Rowing Junior Championships.

PERSONAL: Born Lisa Gutfleisch, March of 1999 at Heidelberg, Germany…father Martin and mother Ulrike…enjoys rowing and swimming…graduated from Heidelberg College with a 3.214 GPA…intends to major in environmental studies.
