WASHINGTON STATE CAREER
SENIOR (2018-19) – Competed in all 11 of the Cougars’ tournaments on the season…had best finish at UC Irvine Invitational (Feb. 11-12), finishing 14th…had best round of the season in that tournament, shooting 71 (even par) in the third round…tied season best three-round total (221) at the National Invitation Tournament…had a 76.91 strokes average…had one round under par and two even par…was named Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention for the second-straight season. 

JUNIOR (2017-18) – Competed in four of the first five tournaments for WSU…marked a 206 (-7) to finish seventh in the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate (Sept. 11-12)…tied for 12th in the Golfweek Conference Challenge, shooting a 214 (-2)…competed in two of WSU’s spring tournaments, once as an individual…tied for fourth as an individual at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational, carding a 213 (E)…set a career low round of 66 at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate (second round)…named All-Academic Honorable Mention…led the team with this seasons lowest scoring average (72.63), ranks eighth all-time at WSU for season scoring average.

SOPHOMORE (2016-17) – Competed in six of WSU’s 13 tournaments throughout the season…had season-best finish as he tied for 16th at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate (Sept. 12-13) after shooting 2-over (215)….tied for 34th at the Saint Mary’s Intercollegiate (Oct. 24-26)…74.89 season average.

FRESHMAN (2015-16) – Competed in three events as an individual and four total events…competed at the Husky Invitational (Sept. 21-22) as an individual and tied for 10th (-11, 227)…best finish came at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate (Sept. 28-29), where he tied for ninth with a three-round 209 (-4)…tied for 100th at the Ka'anapali Classic (Nov. 6-8)…scoring average of 75.44.

HIGH SCHOOL CAREER
Two-sport athlete at Interlake High School, wrestling and playing golf…earned four varsity letters golfing under coach Scott Marcum…captained the golf team during his junior and senior campaigns…led team to three undefeated seasons and three State championships…named First-Team All KingCo twice…received the 2015 3A Sportsmanship Award…placed third in State individually in his senior campaign…received the WJGA Joan Teats Inspirational Golfer Award in 2015.

Born Grant Austin Cole, June of 1997 at Bellevue, Wash…father Matt played golf at Weber State…mother Joyce is a nurse…cousin Trevor graduated from WSU…cousin-in-law Ashley is a women’s basketball assistant coach at WSU…brothers Cameron and Craig…interested in majoring in business at WSU.
