Jake Goyen Signs with Cougar Men’s Golf

PULLMAN, Wash. (Nov. 13, 2025) – Washington State Men's Golf has signed Jake Goyen to a financial aid agreement, Cougar Head Coach Dustin White announced Thursday.
 
Goyen, from Mesa, Ariz., is scheduled to enroll at Washington State in the fall of 2026.
 
Goyen, who attends American Leadership Academy – Gilbert North, has a family history with college golf, as his father, Hub, played collegiately at UNLV, while his uncle, Keith, and cousin, Brock, both played at BYU.
 
A three-time East Sky Conference Player of the Year, Goyen has helped his team to four East Sky Conference titles while holding the school record for lowest 18-hole score after shooting a 65 during his junior year. That same year, he was named the Arizona Division 2 Player of the Year and named to the Arizona Republic All-Arizona Team. Goyen ended his high school career with the lowest scoring average in school history.
 
Goyen is currently ranked No. 118 in the 2026 class on Junior Golf Scoreboard. In 2025, he posted three Top 10 finishes in American Junior Golf Association events, including shooting a 63 in the opening round at the AJGA Visit Pullman Championships. He was also a member of the 2025 Hogan Cup Team. Goyen plans to pursue a business degree at Washington State.
