LAREDO, Texas - The Washington State men's golf team finished 10th at the Border Olympics, Saturday, hosted by Houston.
The No. 33 host Cougars won the event at 5-under par, eight shots better than No. 35 Oklahoma. Washington State shot 16-over, Saturday and finished at 33-over.
"Our effort was very disappointing," Washington State Head Coach Garrett Clegg said. "We definitely have to lick our wounds after this one. I really do not have an explanation for how poorly we played."
Hank Frame turned in the best round of the day for WSU with a 1-under 71. Blake Snyder finished in a tie for 30th, the highest Cougar in the event.
