BREMERTON, Wash. - The leader in the clubhouse after one day at the 2011 Kikkor Golf Husky Invitational is rain.
Over an inch of water fell onto the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain Golf Club, Monday, forcing the postponement of competition in what was supposed to be a 16-team field.
Instead, 10 schools have withdrawn from the tournament and 18 holes will be played, Tuesday, to determine a team and individual champion. Host Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Pepperdine, Santa Clara and Washington State will compete in the team competition. The tournament also features 15 individuals, including six Cougars.
Tee times begin at 8 a.m.
