WSU took the top spot in the novice eight event.
WSU CAREER: Competed with the novice team during FRESHMAN (2010-11) year.
HIGH SCHOOL: Member of soccer team at Lake Stevens High School...member of high school rowing team during sophomore and junior year...as a sophomore, placed first at the Regional Rowing Regatta in a novice quad...as a junior, was named a team captain and placed second at the Regional Rowing Regatta in the second varsity double...four-year letterwinner for high school marching band.
PERSONAL: Sydney Jayne Frederick...born in March of 1992...father Steven attended Washington State before becoming a Boeing account manager...mother Barbara played soccer at WSU and now works as a para-educator...member of high school honor roll...enjoys skydiving, music, and running...interested in pursuing a degree in pre-law at WSU.
