WSU CAREER: As a JUNIOR (2011-12) competed in the varsity four and second varsity eight during the fall...rowed for the varsity four and second varsity eight again in the spring...rowed the varsity four boat in the second place finish at the San Diego Crew Classic...second varsity eight boat defeated Gonzaga and Oregon State as the team captured the Winchell cup for the third straight year against the Beavers...during fall season of SOPHOMORE (2010-11) year rowed in the third and fourth varsity eights...competed in the varsity four and second varsity four during the spring season, defeating Michigan, Michigan State, and Oregon State, while finishing fourth at the Pacific-10 Conference Championships and 10th at the NCAA Rowing Championships...competed with the fourth varsity eight crew during the fall season as a FRESHMAN (2009-10)...during the spring season competed at Washington with the second novice eight...also competed with the second novice eight at Gonzaga and at home against Oregon State.

HIGH SCHOOL: Rowed for Lake Stevens High School for three years...won bronze in the double at Northwest regional...rowed for Everett Rowing Association as a senior...varsity eight won gold at Brentwood Regatta and Windermere Cup, and qualified for nationals.

PERSONAL: Liana Marie DeMaris...born in June of 1991 at Everett, Wash...father Paul (1984, 1987) and mother Barb (1987) are WSU graduates... father is a doctor of veterinary medicine...mother is a bookkeeper...twin brother Eric...younger siblings Maddy and Will...is pursuing a major in history at Washington State.
