Biography

WSU CAREER: Opened the fall of her SENIOR (2018-19) season with an 11th-place finish at the Burnaby Lake Small Boat regatta along with Taija Thompson…competed in the four and second varsity eight boats in the fall…raced in the varsity four boat throughout the spring, including a victory against Gonzaga…named Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention for the third-straight season…as a JUNIOR (2017-18), opened the spring season with the varsity four, winning their preliminary heat at the San Diego Crew Classic, advancing them to the A Final where they placed fourth ahead of UCLA and USC respectively…helped the Cougar’s ninth-straight against Oregon State for the Winchell Cup by taking first place out of the varsity four boats…at the Clemson Invitational, the varsity four raced the same teams as the varsity eight and second varsity eight placing third and advancing them to the finals where they took second, helping WSU finish sixth overall…took first place against Gonzaga to capture the Fawley Cup…rowed with the varsity four at the Pac-12 Championships and took fourth…the varsity four finished sixth at the A/B semifinals at the NCAA Rowing Championships…as a SOPHOMORE (2016-17), opened the spring season with the varsity four against No. 18 Gonzaga...helped the Cougars win their eighth-straight Winchell Cup against Oregon State, rowed with the third varsity eight, seated in the stroke seat…was stroke seat at the Clemson Invite for third varsity eight, which finished third behind No. 10 Virginia and Oklahoma…rowed with the third varsity eight at the Pac-12 Championships…helped team to overall fourth-place finish…named Pac-12 Rowing All-Academic honorable mention…as a FRESHMAN (2015-16), moved between the third varsity eight and novice eight boats…opened the spring season as a member of the fourth varsity eight against No. 19 Gonzaga, and rowed in her first-place crew’s stroke seat…also helped the Cougars’ novice eight to a second-place finish in the grand final at the San Diego Crew Classic…rowed with the novice eight at the Clemson Invite, finishing competition with a third-place finish behind No. 8 Texas and No. 20 Louisville, after the crew finished first and second in the opening sessions the first day…helped power WSU’s second varsity four ‘A’ to victory over Oregon State…Cougars captured Winchell Cup for a seventh-straight year…was stroke seat at the Pac-12 Championships for the third varsity eight, which finished third behind only Washington and California…helped team to overall fourth-place finish.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in basketball, fastpitch and rowing at Olympia High School at Olympia, Wash…captain of rowing club team in 2014 and 2015. 

PERSONAL: Born Grace Arnis, January of 1997 at Olympia, Wash…father Michael and mother Amy…sister Caroline…enjoys playing piano and reading…member of DECA club…received degree in communication.
