Biography
GRADUATE (2019-20) – Played five games before a career-ending injury finished his first season at WSU...averaged 2.6 points in 6.8 minutes per game...scored four points and grabbed four rebounds in his debut against Seattle U (Nov. 7)...scored a season-best five points against Idaho State (Nov. 17).
PRIOR TO WSU – Used redshirt season as a SENIOR at Colorado State in 2018-19…transferred to Colorado State prior to his JUNIOR season…played in 31 games with 21 stats…averaged 10.4 points (third on team) and 5.3 rebounds per game (also third)…ranked third on the team with 19 bocks and was second in field goal percentage at .453 percent…scored in double figures 16 times and grabbed five or more boards on 17 occasions…had a season-high 24 points and 14 rebounds against Wyoming (Jan. 31)…posted his first CSU double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds against Air Force (Jan. 17)…tallied a then-season-high 22 points and grabbed nine boards in a win over Arkansas-Fort Smith (Dec. 19)…spent his SOPHOMORE season at Pima Junior College in Tucson, Ariz.…garnered numerous honors including the NJCAA Division II National Player of the Year…was also named first team NJCAA All-American, first team all-region and the Region I/Arizona Community College Athletic Association (ACCAC) Co-Player of the Year…recorded 20 double-doubles while helping the Aztecs to a 22-win season, the most for the program since 1989-90, and 13 ACCAC conference wins, the best win total since the 2000-01 season…Pima won the Region 1 Championship after entering as the No. 2 seed and earned the No. 8 seed in the Division II National Tournament…in the Region 1 Tournament averaged 26 points, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.5 blocks, earning the Championship game’s Most Valuable Player award…finished among the top of the national leaderboard in several categories, ranking sixth in free throws made (178) while shooting 77.4 percent from the charity stripe…also finished in the in the top 10 nationally in points scored (680) and defensive rebounds (236)…earned his associates degree…played his FRESHMAN year (2015-16) at North Carolina A&T out of high school, seeing action in 21 games and averaging 5.5 minutes, 1.3 points and 1.5 rebounds a game.
HIGH SCHOOL – A four-year player at Empire High School who played in 103 games and averaged 16.0 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists for his career…in his senior year in 2014-15 averaged 21.2 points and 12.2 rebounds per contest, leading the Ravens to a 17-10 record and earning All-Southern Arizona First Team honors in one of the toughest sections in the state…also was selected to Arizona Basketball Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game…junior season averaged 21.1 points and 12.6 boards a game.
PERSONAL – Born, May of 1997 at Tucson, Ariz….mother Claudia is a teacher and dad Rodney works for Century Link…has a younger sister, Racquel…graduated from Colorado State in 2019 and is pursing his master’s degree at Washington State.
