Biography
5TH YEAR (2021-22) – Medically sat out his fifth year at WSU.
SENIOR (2020-21) – One of two seniors on the team, stepped away from the team for personal reasons in February ... saw in 10 games while averaging 1.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.
JUNIOR (2019-20) – Battled injuries throughout the season but played in 23 games with three starts including the Pac-12 Tournament win over Colorado (Mar. 11)…had a breakout game with 15 points and 11 rebounds against USC (Jan. 2)…added 11 points against UCLA (Jan. 4) before injury cost him seven games…posted a career-best 21 points to go with eight rebounds at Arizona State (Mar. 7)…chipped in nine points and six rebounds against Colorado (Mar. 11) in the Pac-12 Tournament…finished the year with eight double-figure scoring games…led the team in scoring three times and in rebounding twice…ended the year fourth on the team in scoring at 7.7 points per game while adding 3.3 rebounds in 16.6 minutes per contest…was the Cougs most efficient scorer at 63.7 effective field goal percentage.
PRIOR TO WSU – Transferred to Montana for 2018-19 but sat out the season due to NCAA transfer rules... Played two seasons (2016-17 and 2017-18) for Seattle Pacific… Was named the 2016-17 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year… Ranked in the top five in the GNAC for both scoring (19.0 points per game) and rebounding (9.7)… His 514 points scored were the second-most ever by an SPU freshman while his 247 rebounds ranked third… Totaled the second-most steals and blocked shots on his team… Recorded 15 double-doubles on the season, the 11th-most at the Division-II level… Averaged a team-best 18.0 points per game as a sophomore in 2017-18, but was sidelined after 12 contests due to season-ending shoulder surgery… Led the Falcons for scoring in each of the final nine games in which he played.
HIGH SCHOOL – Is a 2016 graduate of Woodinville High School in Washington… Was the 2016 KingCo 4A Player of the Year… Finished his prep career ranked first in school history for both scoring and rebounding… Became the school’s first four-year varsity player and first KingCo 4A first-team honoree – doing so for the first time as a 15-year-old sophomore… As a junior and senior, led the entire league for scoring and rebounding, averaging more than 20 points per game and a double-double… Led Woodinville to its first and second trips to the state tournament, and the school’s first-ever victory… Former coach Mark Folsom once stated Miller changed the face of the program, leading Woodinville from a 4-16 record in 2013-14 to its first KingCo title the following year.
