Biography
JUNIOR (2021-22) – Played in 16 games ... averaged 1.2 points and 0.8 rebounds per game ... came up with a season best 12 points in just six minutes going 3-for-4 from the field and 2-for-3 from deep at Idaho Nov. 18 ... named to the Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll.
SOPHOMORE (2020-21) – Played in 19 games with four starts as the Cougs primary backup point guard ...averaged 3.5 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 20.7 minutes per game ... twice scored in double-figures including a season-best 15 points at Oregon State, Feb. 6 ... grabbed a season-best eight rebounds in 35 minutes in the Cougs upset of UCLA, Feb. 11 ... named to the inaugural Pac-12 Winter Academic Honor Roll.
FRESHMAN (2019-20) – Played in 19 games in his first year at WSU…averaged 1.6 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 7.2 minutes per game…made his debut against Omaha (Nov. 21) after battling a foot injury that plagued him throughout the season…broke out against UCLA (Jan. 4), scoring four points in 12 minutes as he led a double-digit comeback against the Bruins…scored a season-high eight points at Stanford (Jan. 11) going 2-for-3 from deep.
PRIOR TO WSU – Played for Mazenod College in Australia and helped guide the Nodders to a 2017 Associated Catholic College (ACC) league title for the first time in school history…was a three-time team captain for the Nodders and helped guide them to two-straight titles…earned First Team All-ACC honors in 2017 and 2018, and was named the team MVP both seasons…on the club circuit, Rapp played for Dandenong Rangers in Victoria’s Junior Basketball League, where his team won four state titles and three classic championships…was a member of the 2018 Youth U23 team.
PERSONAL – Born Ryan Henry Rapp, May of 2000 in Glendova, Calif…mother Julia is a nurse and father Tim is in bank sales…has older sister Jemma and younger siblings Hannah and Austin…aunt Jessica Foley played basketball for Duke and played in one national championship, two Final Fours and an Elite Eight, was selected in the 2006 NBA Draft and played professionally in Australia…father Tim Rapp was an All-American basketball player at then-Division III UC San Diego and is in the school’s Athletics Hall of Fame…graduated with a degree in business in just three years.
