March 24, 2026 | Men's Basketball
PULLMAN, Wash. – Three Washington State men's basketball student-athletes were named to the College Sports Communicators 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball teams, the organization announced Tuesday morning. WSU senior Adria Rodriguez, junior Eemeli Yalaho, and redshirt-sophomore Parker Gerrits earned the honor for the first time in each of their college careers.
Three Cougar men's basketball student-athletes earned CSC Academic All-District® recognition for the first time in program history and were the first to receive the honor since Josh Hawkinson was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team in 2016.
Gerrits was also named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team, his first-career academic honor, and was a member of WSU's fall President's Honor Roll, while maintaining a 3.78 GPA and completing a degree in finance.
Rodriguez – entering with credits from classes in Spain – boasted a 3.93 cumulative GPA while pursuing a business degree. Yalaho transferred from Texas Tech and holds a 3.57 GPA in the finance major.
The CSC Academic All-District® teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. All-District honorees must be in at least sophomore standing and are required to maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, while participating in at least 90% of competitions or starting 66% of games.
