Biography

WSU CAREER: As a FRESHMAN (2018-19), opened the fall season at the Burnaby Lake Small Boat Invitational, competing in the single sculls, finishing ninth overall and seventh in the senior category…was a member of the varsity eight and second varsity eight crews in the fall as well…rowed with the varsity eight crew throughout the spring, and helped the Cougars win their third-straight Fawley Cup with a victory over Gonzaga (April 28).

PRIOR TO WSU: Rowed a successful sculling career during her junior and senior year of high school…on a team with a small roster, Conaty took to the single and has established herself as one of the Northwest’s best scullers…as a junior, placed 12th at USRowing Youth Nationals…as a senior, earned bronze at the Northwest Youth Regional Championships…Conaty then qualified for Youth Nationals again where she finished fifth overall. 
 
PERSONAL: Born Emma Caroline Conaty, August of 2000, at El Toro, Calif…father Garrett works in software…mother Leanne and sisters Claire, Maeve, Nora, Teresa, and Lucy…brothers Daniel, Vincent, Oisin, and Peter…intends to major in viticulture and enology…enjoys hiking and skiing…favorite dessert is cheesecake.
