Alvarez Sande, Murphy Named WCC Doubles Team of the Week

PULLMAN, Wash. (April 1, 2025) – For the third time this season, Washington State doubles team of Eva Alvarez Sande and Maxine Murphy have been named the West Coast Conference Doubles Team of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday.

The Cougars No. 1 duo went 2-0 last week, with both wins coming at the top spot. They opened the week with a 6-3 win over Saint Mary's Iman Khan and Olivia Rook before posting a 6-1 win over Pacific's Megan Carmichael and Maggie Hoe. Both wins clinched the opening doubles point for the Cougars.

Alvarez Sande and Murphy are ranked No. 40 in the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. The pair is 17-8 on the season, including a 12-4 mark in dual matches.
