FRESHMAN (2005-06): Indoor - Had the top team time in the 800m of 1:54.13i, run at the Husky Classic (2/11/06, Seattle)...ran a 400m time of 49.76i at McDonald's Collegiate (2/4/06, Moscow)...finished 15th in the 800m at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships (1:56.06)...Outdoor - Ran best times early in season...400m time was 50.09 at Williams Invite (3/18/06, Tucson) and 800m time was 1:54.60 at Trojan Invite (3/18/06, Los Angeles).
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned eight letters at Bethel High...four in cross country for coach Paula Brown and four in track for coach Pat Mullen...captained both teams senior year...state qualifier in cross country as junior...state qualifier for 400m and on 1600m relay both sophomore and junior...broke school record for 4x400m relay with time of 3:21.19...senior year 800m runner-up at state 4A meet (1:54.99)...second in 800m at Brooks Meet of Champions (Oregon vs. Washington preps)...attended Junior Olympics as member of coach Mike Strong's Seatown Express Track Club...qualified for national in 800m.
