Track Finishes Up Day 2 at the Bryan Clay Invitational

Azusa, California – Cougs add more impressive performances as they wrap up their second day at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Kaleena Narus was the star of the show today, finishing second in her race and setting a personal best while doing so.
Kaleena Narus set a personal best in the 5k, finishing in second in the Open C division with a time of 17 minutes and 24.20 seconds. Her time beat her previous best time by almost 20 seconds. Taylor Sletner competed in the Open B division, finishing in 24th with a time of 17 minutes and 11.58 seconds. Jaylyn Lehner also competed in the race, finishing in 35th.
In the Women's 800m, Lily Herman finished with a personal best time of 2 minutes and 13.15 seconds, good for 25th in the Open B division. Isabela Alvarado also impressed this afternoon, finishing in 15th in the Women's 800m Open A division with a personal best time of 2 minutes and 9.72 seconds.
Faith Kipmaiyo ran her fastest 5k of the season, finishing third in the Open A division, with a time of 16 minutes and 20.80 seconds. The Cossey twins ran good races, with Aleeya finishing in 29th and Hailey finishing in 48th with a personal best time.
Evans Kurui finished fourth in the Men's 5000 Invite Heat 1 with a time of 13 minutes and 17.61 seconds. He was about a second away from his personal best time and only half a second behind beating the facility record.
