Alvarez Earns Pac-12 All-Defensive Team Honors

SAN FRANCISCO – Washington State senior shortstop Andres Alvarez was named Pac-12 Conference All-Defensive Team Honorable Mention, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Alvarez receives his second career All-Pac-12 accolade after earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention as a sophomore in 2017. The San Diego native started 53 games at shortstop this season and posted a .289 batting average with 13 doubles, one triple, two homers, five stolen bases and 19 RBI. Alvarez finished the regular season third in the Pac-12 with 131 assists and was part of 24 double plays.
