Ron Pavlik begins his first season as Washington State’s assistant special teams coach on Head Coach Jimmy Rogers staff.
 
Pavlik arrived with Rogers from South Dakota State, where he spent the previous two seasons in a similar role, as well as assistant to the head coach. At SDSU, Pavlik went 27-3 in his two years, capturing the FCS Championship following a perfect 15-0 season in 2023. In addition to assisting Rogers with all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the SDSU football program, Pavlik helped punter Hunter Dustman to All-MVFC honors both years.
 
Prior to arriving at South Dakota State, Pavlik spent five seasons coaching high school football in Nebraska, serving as head coach at Omaha Burke H.S. (2022) and Bishop Neumann H.S. (2021), and assistant coach at Bellevue West H.S. (2018-20).
 
Pavlik spent the 2017 season as an assistant coach at Mount Carmel H.S. in Chicago, Ill. During the 2016 season, he served as a defensive graduate assistant working with special teams at his alma mater South Dakota State.
 
Pavlik graduated from South Dakota State in 2015 with a degree in sociology. He also holds master’s degrees in education administration from SDSU and special education from Nebraska-Kearney.
