Hernaez graduated from Santiago High School where she was one of the top youth goalkeepers in the country ... earned first team All-CIF, all-area, and all-league, her second all-league award of her career, as a junior ... in 28 games, posted 15 shutouts while leading Santiago to a 20-2-6 overall record while continuing the Sharks unbeaten run in league play having pushed the streak to 71 matches ... on the club scene, played alongside of fellow Coug signee, Marin Whieldon, with the national champion So Cal Blues.
