Sophomore (2025-26)
Competed in five events for the Cougars … placed first in the 3V8 at both the dual against Gonzaga (4/11) and the dual at Oregon State (5/2) … helped the 2V4 to second place finishes in both days of the WCC Championships (5/15-16) … finished second in the 3V4 at the Oregon State dual … in head racing placed second in the 2V4 at the Head of the Spokane (10/18) and third in the 3V8 at the Head of the Lake (11/2).
Freshman (2024-25)
Raced in all eight races for the Cougars as a true freshman … helped the 2V4 place first at the WCC Championships (5/16-17) in the day one preliminaries before finishing second overall in the Grand Finals … placed first in the 2V4 at the Fawley Cup (4/19) and first in the 3V8 at the Head of the Lake (11/3) … also helped the 2V4 to a sixth-place showing at the San Diego Crew Classic (3/29-30) and seventh-place at the Lake Wheeler Invitational (4/25-26).
Prior to Washington State
Montgomery was a three-year letterwinner at Holy Names Academy under head coach Chris Marr ... in 2021, helped the team to a second-place finish in the V8+ at Northwest Youth Regional Championships and was part of a U17 8+ boat that finished 10th at US Rowing Youth National Championships ... in 2023, her 2V8+ boat finished sixth at US Youth Nationals while she also captured a pair of wins (U19 8+ and U19 2-) at the Tail of the Lake and NW Regional Championships ... daughter of Darren and Elaine, Montgomery plans to study elementary education at WSU.
