SOPHOMORE (2010-11): Indoor - Led the team in both sprints running PR time in 60m of 6.80i at Cougar Indoor (1/22/11, Pullman) and 21.51 in 200m at Husky Classic (2/12/11, Seattle)...at MPSF Championships took third in 60m (6.84i), sixth in 200m (21.68i) and ran lead leg on runner-up 4x400m relay team (3:10.80i)...1600m relay ran a time of 3:07.61i at NCAA Last Chance Qualifier (3/5/11, Ames, Iowa) - ran opening leg in 47.8...time was second-fastest indoor time and ninth-best all-time in WSU men's history...at NCAA Indoor Championships (3/12/11, College Station, Texas), pulled hamstring but gimped through to complete his lap...squad finished 10th in time of 3:12.01i...Outdoor - At Pac-10 Championships ran 100m in PR time of 10.52 (10th) and lead leg of winning 4x100m relay that clocked second-fastest time in school history of 39.48...at NCAA West Prelims (Eugene) ran lead leg of 4x100m relay for eighth (40.26) and second leg of 4x400m relay for 13th (3:09.50)...at NCAA Championships (Des Moines) 4x100m relay squad placed 15th after semifinals time of 39.85.

Earned two varsity letters at Rancho Verde High for track coach Chris Dresher...the Mustangs were undefeated league champions in 2008...Hornsby ran the 100m in 11.00 seconds and the 200m in 22.67...senior year ran won his heat of the 100m at the Arcadia Invite with a PR time of 10.79...finished sixth in final in 11.07...also ran third leg on winning 4x400m relay (3:17.72)...ran a PR 200m time of 21.41w for second place at the CIF Southern Section Final...placed eighth in the 200m at the CIF State Championships in 21.88...ran second leg on 4x400m relay team that placed third at Penn Relays in 3:14.78 - top American boys high school team...member of the Moreno Valley Rockets Track & Field Cross Country team.
