Kaleb John-Lewis joined the Washington State coaching staff in 2026, joining David Riley’s staff in Pullman.
John-Lewis was the Director of Basketball Sports Performance at Cleveland State University in 2025-26, his lone season with the Vikings. John-Lewis helped CSU go on the road under first-year head coach Rob Summers and beat Wright State, the eventual Horizon League conference champions. John-Lewis helped develop players like Chevalier Emery and Dayan Nessah to earn Horizon League honors. Emery was named the Horizon League Sixth Man of the Year, while Nessah was named to the All-League Third Team.
From spring 2023 - spring 2025, John-Lewis was the Men’s Basketball Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Utah Valley University. In his two years at UVU, John-Lewis helped the Wolverines secure a Western Athletic Conference regular season championship in the 2024-25 season along with developing the WAC Player of the Year in junior guard Dominick Nelson.
John-Lewis served one year at Stanford from 2022-23, assisting the Head Strength & Conditioning coach with all organizational and operational duties for Men’s Basketball and Men’s Golf. Overlapping with his time at Stanford, John-Lewis served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the Seattle Sports Institute.
John-Lewis graduated from University of Concordia, St. Paul with a Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology.
