Hailey Haukeli joined the Washington State Men’s Basketball staff as its athletic trainer in 2024 after serving in the same role on David Riley’s staff at Eastern Washington University for two years.
Haukeli arrived at EWU in the fall of 2017 where she served as a graduate assistant working with volleyball and women’s tennis. Before moving to working with basketball, she worked with cheer and golf along with the aforementioned volleyball and tennis. At Eastern, she took over the coordination of student-athlete health insurance for the athletic department.
Haukeli graduated from Presentation College in South Dakota in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and exercise science with a minor in sports psychology. During this time, she was vice-president of the school’s athletic training club, a regular on the Dean’s list, and a two-year starter on the school’s softball team before transitioning and help coach the softball team for two years. She also attended Pierce College in Tacoma and South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia.
