Biography
WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY
Senior (2024-25) – Arrived on campus in mid-June after transferring from Eastern Washington…named to the WCC All-Preseason Team…suffered a season-ending left shoulder injury in late November after just six games…averaged just under 33 minutes over his six games played, scoring 17.7 points per game, including a 30-point game against Northern Colorado and a pair of 20-point performances…averaged 7.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game before his injury.
PRIOR TO WASHINGTON STATE
EASTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY
Junior (2023-24) – Voted Big Sky first team All-Conference unanimously and was named to the NABC All-District First Team… Started and played in all 32 games for Eastern, averaging 15.4 points per game to go along with 215 rebounds and 30 blocks… Recorded six games with double-digit rebounds, posted 24 games in double-figure scoring, and shot 89.5% from the free throw line.
Sophomore (2022-23) – Selected to the Winter Big Sky All-Academic team… Played in all 34 games for the Eagles, averaging 7.3 points per game with 5.6 rebounds per game… Had 27 steals, a team-high, while recording the second-most blocks on the team with 21… Named Big Sky player of the week after recording the second triple-double in Eastern Washington history.
WILLAMETTE UNIVERSITY (D-III)
Freshman (2021-22) – Averaged 19.4 points and 12 rebounds per game as a freshman… played in 26 games with 17 starts… named NWC Freshman of the Year and was a first-team All-NWC selection… tied for 11th nationally at the Division III level in total rebounds with 309… recorded a school record 67 blocked shots… Ranked second in all of Division III with 19 double-doubles, ending the season with 15 in a row.
CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL
Two-time Tri River All-Conference at Central High School in Fresno…named the team’s MVP as a senior and Best Offensive Player as a junior, captaining the Grizzlies both seasons...2021 Central HS Athlete of the Year and was on the High Academic Honor Roll from 2017-2021.
PERSONAL
Both parents, Shanel and Ray, and grandmother are from Fresno, California...has one sister, Lauryn...grandfather, Maxie Parks, ran track and field at UCLA...enjoys customizing shoes and baking cookies.
