WSU CAREER. SENIOR (2001-02): Cross Country - Dropped out of the Pac-10 Championships with probable heat exhaustion (10/27/01, Scottsdale)…finished 33rd (3rd WSU runner) at the NCAA West Regional Championships (11/10/01, Tucson).
JUNIOR (2000-01): Cross Country - Number two runner most of season until Pac-10 Championships (10/28/00, Seattle) where he finished 21st overall and first among WSU runners…at NCAA West Regional (11/11/00, Fresno) placed 50th (2nd WSU runner)…Indoor - Runner-up in 3000m (8:50.14i) at MPSF Championships (2/23/01, Flagstaff)…at same meet ran the last leg of the winning distance medley relay (10:26.49i) which assured the WSU men of the team championship…Outdoor - Ran PR time in the steeplechase of 8:55.78 to finish third at the Pac-10 Championships (5/20/01, Berkeley)…PRd in every event run in spring…top times on team in 1500m (3:47.29) and steeple.
SOPHOMORE (1999-00): Cross Country - Was the top Cougar runner at the NCAA West Regional Championships with a 32nd finish in a time of 31.38 for the 10,000m course (11/13/99, Troutdale, Ore.)…Indoor - Ran top 3000m time of 8:25.14i at Vandal Indoor (2/18/00, Moscow)…PRs in mile (4:17.08i) and 5k (14:58.25i) came at Idaho Last Chance (3/4/00)…finished 10th in the 5k (15:12.32i) at the MPSF Championships (2/26/00, Reno)…Outdoor - Ran top steeplechase time of 9:19.35 at WSU Invite (5/6/00, Pullman)…finished 11th in 10k at Pac-10 Championships (5/21/00, Eugene).
PREVIOUS COLLEGES. Attended Clatsop Community College in fall 1998 but did not compete in cross country…at East Tennessee State (spring 1999): Participated in spring track season…at the Southern Conference Outdoor Championships (4/24/99, Johnson City, Tenn.) was runner-up in 10,000m race in time of 32:04.40…finished 10th in 5,000m at same meet with time of 15:34.63.
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Graduated from Jesuit College Prep, Carmichael, California, in 1997…part of the Metro League of Sacramento…earned three varsity letters running cross country and track for coach Walt Lange…as a junior finished 13th at state cross country championships…team won state title.
