WSU CAREER:
SENIOR (2020-21): Indoor - Was 12th at the UW Invite (8:49.96) in the 3000m run in his only meet of the indoor season... Outdoor - Finished fourth in the steeplechase at the Hayward Premier (4/2-3) in 9:03.83 and was sixth at the Oregon Relays (4/23-24) in 9:07.66... Placed 14th in the steeplechase at the Fresno State West Coast Relays (4/30) in 9:04.26 and finished the season with a ninth-place steeplechase finish at the Pac-12 Championships (5/14-16).

SENIOR (2019-20): Indoor - Placed 13th at the Vandal Open with an 8:54.70 time in the 3000m run and was 57th in the UW Preview (1/18) at 8:52.79.

JUNIOR (2018-19): Indoor - Did not compete... Outdoor - Returned to the track in the 1500m at the USC Trojan Invite (3/15-16) where he finished 21st at 4:05.54... Competed in the 5k at the Mike Fanelli Classic (3/28-30) where he was 125th at 15:16.62... Returned to the steeplechase at the UW-WSU Dual (4/6) and finished seventh at 9:32.47... Was 57th at the Bryan Clay Invitational (4/17-19) with a time of 9:25.08 and won the Cougar Invite (4/27) with a 9:34.05 in the steeplechase... Placed ninth in the steeplechase at the Pac-12 Championships (5/4).


SOPHOMORE (2017-18): Indoor - Opened the indoor season at the UW Preview (1/13) where he finished 21st with a lifetime best in the 3000m run (8:25.25)... Competed in the 3000m (9:54.88) run at the UW Invitational (1/26-27)... Outdoor -  Ran the 3000m steeplechase and finished 60th at 9:54.88 at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival (3/30-31)... Was fourth in the 3000m steeplechase (9:46.11) at the War XI (4/6-7)  and won the steeplechase at the Spokane Memorial Meet (4/21) in 9:31.17... Placed third in the 400m hurdles at 1:00.09 and clocked a season-best 9:29.91 in the steeplechase at the WSU-UW Dual (4/28).

FRESHMAN (2016-17): Indoor - Ran 3000m PR at UW Invitational (1/28/17, Seattle) with a time of 8:33.50i…at Husky Classic (2/11/17, Seattle) ran 5000m PR with a time of 14:47.66i...Outdoor - Ran 1500m PR and finished seventh at Trojan Invitational (3/18/17, Los Angeles) with a time of 4:00.17…at Mt. SAC Relays (4/15/17, Norwalk) ran 10,000m PR and finished 25th with a time of 31:13.81…ran 3000m steeplechase PR and finished third at UW vs. WSU Dual (4/23/17, Seattle) with a time of 9:23.09…at Pac-12 Championships finished 13th in 3000m steeplechase (9:23.96).
 
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER: Earned eight varsity letters for Issaquah High School…four in cross country with coach Gwen Robertson…four for track coach Mitch Stuard…at state 4A cross country championships finished fifth as senior after 17th and 58th finishes the previous two seasons…Eagles boys team was undefeated in 2015 XC at 9-0 and finished fifth at state meet…named to All-KingCo and All-District first teams…at Nike Cross Nationals took 21st…finished 10th at Nike BorderClash 17…named team’s Most Inspirational…during indoor track, ran PR in 300m of 8:36.72i as runner-up at UW HS Invite…finished 16th in 2-miles at New Balance Indoor Nationals…outdoor track, runner up in 3200m at KingCo 4A Championships with PR time of 9:13.98 which broke school record…also third in 1600m with PR of 4:17.47.
 
PERSONAL: Born in September 1997, in Concord, N.C.…father Barry is a software engineer…mother Dawn Proffitt-Schrag is an instructional designer…older sister Katarina…running start student at Bellevue College through junior and senior years of high school…plans to study Kinesiology at WSU.
