Cougs Complete Day 1 at Bryan Clay Invitational

Azusa, California – Two Cougs set personal bests as they get underway at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific University.
Lauren Hoyt ran her first 10k of her collegiate career, finishing in 25th in the Open A division with a time of 35 minutes and 17.42 seconds. Zenah Cheptoo competed in the Invite 1 division, finishing in 33 minutes and 11.08 seconds, good for 13th place.
Leo Cook also ran his first 10k of his collegiate career and finished in 16th in the Open B division with a time of 31 minutes and 21.29 seconds.
In the Women's 3k Steeplechase, Caroline Jepkorir finished in 12th in the Invite heat with a time of 10 minutes and 1.79 seconds, only two seconds off her personal best time.
