Coaches Garcia Rosado and Galanopoulos Named to Silver Waves List
PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State men’s basketball assistant coaches Pedro Garcia Rosado and George Galanopoulos were selected to the 2026 Silver Waves Media Most Impactful/Influential Mid Major Assistant Coaches List, the organization announced Monday morning.
The list recognized 138 impactful coaches across the country at the mid-major collegiate level, recognizing the work that these assistant coaches do to build better student athletes both on and off the court.
This past season, Garcia Rosado helped Wazzu to its fourth-best scoring season in its 125-year history with the fifth-best shooting percentage by a Cougar team. WSU made 303 three-pointers in 2025-26, more than all but three teams in program history. The Cougs were also efficient from the free throw line, shooting at 74.2 percent, seventh in all-time single-season history.
Additionally, Galanopoulos helped the Cougars average 76.1 points per game and record 444 assists. The season also featured the development of a young roster, including a freshman who earned All-WCC Freshman Team honors. Galanopoulos continues to contribute to the team’s defensive development and player growth as the Cougars compete in the new Pac-12.
