FORT COLLINS Colo. – The Washington State women’s golf team continued to play Tuesday at Ptarmigan Country Club in the final round of the Ben Connell Ram Classic. WSU climbed three spots on the leaderboard, finishing tied for fourth and 1-under par (863).
Junior Sydney Bisgrove continued to lead the Cougars, finishing 6-under for the tournament after Tuesday’s final round. Bisgrove entered the day at 3-under after rounds of 70 and 71 and was 3-under through 15 holes in the final round. Her round included birdies on holes 9, 13, 14, 16 and 18, helping her climb the individual leaderboard and finish tied for second.
Junior Grace Rubelsky entered the final round at even par after posting back-to-back rounds of 72, Monday. Rubelsky remained around even par for the tournament during Tuesday’s round, highlighted by birdies on holes 15 and 17.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Helm began the day at 2-over following rounds of 74 and 73. Helm recorded three birdies during the final round, including back-to-back birdies on holes 15 and 16.
Senior Sara Pineros entered Tuesday at 5-over after rounds of 75 and 74. Pineros carded birdies on holes 6, 12 and 16 during the final round.
Freshman Madalyn Gubernick entered the final round at 2-over after shooting rounds of 75 and 71 Monday. Gubernick opened Tuesday’s round with a birdie on the first hole and added another on the ninth.
Melia Cerenzia, competing as an individual, entered Tuesday at 9-over following rounds of 76 and 77. Cerenzia recorded birdies on holes 1 and 11 during the final round.
