The Cougars are scheduled to be live on ESPN+ at 4:15 p.m. PT as part of a whirlwind media blitz that includes 12 stops with CBS, ESPN, and media members from across the country.
In conjunction with the event, the WCC announced the All-WCC Preseason Team, which did not include an WSU student-athletes, and the Preseason Coaches Poll. The conference coaches picked the Cougars to finish sixth. Gonzaga was voted to win the conference with nine first-place votes.
The Cougars' season unofficially kicks off Saturday, October 25, in a public exhibition game against New Mexico at 6 p.m. from Beasley Coliseum. The official start to the 2025-26 season tips off Monday, November 3, at 6:30 p.m. against Idaho, marking the 53rd season at Beasley Coliseum and 124th season in program history.
