Cougs punch four tickets into Sunday finals on day one of Pac-12 Championships

WALNUT, Calif. — Washington State men's and women's track and field combined for seven top-10 finishes and saw four student-athletes advance through preliminary heats on Friday, the first day of the three-day 2023 Pac-12 Track and Field Championships from Hilmer Lodge Stadium on the campus of Mt San Antonio College.

Jacob Easton ran the first running event of the weekend and finished with a PR at 3:50.09 to begin the men's 1500m run.  Zach Stallings followed with a 3:46.96 to finish second in heat No. 2, earning an automatic qualifying spot in Sunday's 1500m finals and fourth overall finish in Friday's preliminary round.
