Longisa Repeats as MPSF Athlete of the Week

PULLMAN, Wash. (Feb. 17, 2026) – For the second-consecutive week, Washington State sophomore Rosemary Longisa has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Female Athlete of the Week.
Longisa, from Eldorat, Kenya, set the WSU school record in the 800-meter race at the Husky Classic last Saturday in Seattle. She crossed the tape in 1-minute, 59.71 seconds, taking six seconds off the previous record held by Anna Layman of 2:05.93, set in 2011. Longisa's time is the fastest in the West Region this year and third fastest in the nation.
