Track Heads to MPSF Championships

RENO, Nevada — Washington State Track wraps up their indoor season at the MPSF Championships, this weekend. The meet will take place at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. WSU runners will look to improve their times and battle for a top 16 spot in the nation to qualify for the National Championships. The meet will begin on Sunday, March 1st at 3:00 pm PT.
The Cougs will compete against Cal State Fullerton, CSUN, Hawaii, Long Beach St, Oregon St, Pacific, Pepperdine, Portland, San Francisco, St. Mary's, UC Davis, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside.

Evans Kurui placed second in the 5K with a 13:27.21—just three seconds off his season best and ranking 20th nationally—while Zenah Cheptoo ran 8:57.75 in the 3K, four seconds shy of her personal best and currently 27th in the nation, as both posted competitive marks against the country's top runners.
